We got into a huge industrial lift that took us down into the basement where hundreds of now-deleted 45s were stored on pallets, most of them covered in a thick layer of dust - previously untouched!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBefore I reached them to begin digging. I almost trod on a 45 lying right outside the lift doors - it was the first record I picked up in the States. I recognised the artist's name straight away, but it would be a full two weeks later before I could listen to the disc back in the UK.
